The Lee County Alliance for the Arts was founded in 1975 to foster arts and culture. The 12,000 sq. ft. William R. Frizzle Cultural Center and 8,000 sq. ft. Charles B. Edwards Building are home to the Alliance. Both are situated on a ten and a half acre campus in the center of Fort Myers.
The Frizzle Center features a 175 seat indoor theatre, galleries, classrooms and an outdoor amphitheater. The adjacent Edwards Building houses several local artists and an arts group.
The Lee County Alliance of the Arts is also a home to the Foulds Theatre and the resident theatre company, Theatre Conspiracy
